Frigid temperatures will be great conditions for ice sculptures and pond hockey. Those are some of the things that can be found at the 5th Annual Lake Superior Ice Festival at Barker’s Island this weekend.

Organizers say they want people to be safe in the cold so layers is their biggest piece of advice, but they are also taking their own precautions. Linda Cadotte with the City of Superior says they event will have heated tents, a shuttle and plenty of indoor activities for people to get a break from the cold.
