Minnesotans may be seeing ice on lakes, ponds and rivers along with the below freezing temps, but DNR conservation officers warn it is too early to venture out.

Ice has already started to form on Lake Superior – several weeks earlier than normal. In the Twin Cities, ice has covered much of LakeĀ NokomisĀ in Minneapolis. The boat launch officially closed for the season Saturday.
